Premier League rivals agree £19.5m deal for Tottenham transfer target
Tottenham Hotspur have suffered a setback as one of their transfer targets is now set to move to another English club.
According to The Sun, Brighton have successfully negotiated a deal with Nordsjaelland to sign talented teenager Ibrahim Osman.
The transfer fee is estimated to be around £19.5 million.
Journalist Ben Jacobs reported that Spurs were considering signing him in the upcoming summer transfer window, but the club has not made any concrete efforts to sign him.
Several other clubs, including West Ham United, have also expressed interest in signing the Ghanaian striker.
Despite Osman’s desire to join the club, Nordsjaelland rejected offers from various clubs, including a £16 million bid from West Ham
Other potential suitors, including Monaco, Wolfsburg, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bologna, are also said to be exploring the option of a summer move for the 19-year-old.
According to the report, Osman will now sign a deal with the Seagulls.
The Ghana forward is expected to join the Seagulls this summer, pending the successful completion of his medical.
The versatile winger, who mainly operates as a left winger, can also play as a right winger.
This season he has been a regular starter for Nordsjaelland, making sixteen league appearances and playing fourteen matches, contributing one goal and four assists.
In all competitions, Osman has made 29 appearances, scoring four goals and providing five assists.
The development marks another example of Spurs missing out on a reported transfer target to Brighton, following reports that the Seagulls had beaten them to the signing of Barcelona’s Ansu Fati during the summer transfer window.
