Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has shed some light on Luka Modric’s future, with the midfielder linked with a move to Inter Miami.
The veteran playmaker’s contract with Real Madrid expires at the conclusion of this season, marking the end of an extraordinary 12-year stint for the Croatian international.
Saudi Arabia is apparently considering signing the Real Madrid player, who is anticipated to play for at least one more club in his career, in addition to Inter Miami.

But in an interview with the media through Fabrizio Romano, Ancelotti said he had no idea what Modric’s future held—the player is also speculated to be joining Madrid’s coaching staff.
Considering that Inter Miami has already acquired three of the biggest stars in soccer—Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Sergio Busquets—signing Modric would be a significant move.
But as of right now, it seems like Modric hasn’t decided what to do with his career; he still has till the end of the season to decide after leaving Real Madrid.
“Luka Modric in the coaching staff?” Ancelotti remarked. I have no idea what the future holds for him. He remains a fantastic player. His destiny will be decided by him.
Inter Miami have to start shifting transfer strategy now
Given who the Herons presently have on their roster and the kind of superstars the Florida team can draw, Modric joining Inter Miami may not come as a huge surprise.
But because Modric is simply too old for MLS and not what the Herons need right now, Inter Miami should think about taking a different approach with their signing strategy.
The next stage for Inter Miami will be to draw in superstars who are at the pinnacle of their careers. After seeing what the MLS team has accomplished over the past eight months, players are now probably considering relocating to Florida.
