Scotland won 3-0 against Ukraine in the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday night, led by Scott McTominay.
Scotland was fired up for their Nations League clash against Ukraine after Ukraine ended their hopes of reaching the World Cup in the summer.
After John McGinn put the hosts ahead after 70 minutes, Lyndon Dykes scored twice in the final 10 minutes to secure a 3-0 win for Steve Clarke’s side.
McGinn and Dykes may have scored, but it was McTominay who stood out with a commanding performance in the middle of the park.
Individual highlights from Manchester United’s man against Ukraine were a joy to watch, as he frequently dispossessed his opponents to set his team on the attack.
He was frequently chastised for passing sideways and backward on the ball, but against Ukraine, the 25-year-old often looked forward to playing the killer pass.
After the arrival of Casemiro in the summer, many expected McTominay to be relegated to the United bench.
However, as a substitute, Casemiro has been a spectator as Erik ten Hag chose to stick with McTominay after a string of impressive performances during United’s upturn in form.
McTominay has proven to the Old Trafford faithful that he is more than capable of doing the job for the team in the middle of the park, despite being frequently chastised by fans when things go wrong.

McTominay will hope to maintain his strong form over the international break in order to secure a spot in Ten Hag’s plans for the season
