Sadio Mane celebrates scoring against Viktoria Plzen for Bayern Munich.

On Tuesday evening, Sadio Mane scored his first Champions League goal for Bayern Munich, and it was a beauty.

Mane was named to his team’s starting lineup for their match against Viktoria Plzen at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern raced out to a two-goal lead after just 13 minutes.

Leroy Sane opened the scoring for the Bavarian giants with a 20-yard screamer.

The German forward drove up the field before unleashing an unstoppable shot into the top corner.

Soon after, Serge Gnabry doubled his team’s lead. The ex-Arsenal player found himself in plenty of space and rolled the ball into the bottom corner.

Mane then scored in the 21st minute with a fantastic solo goal.

The Senegalese international received a throw-in and beat two defenders with a beautiful flick over his head.

Mane then showed great speed to break through before finishing coolly one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Check it out below…

It was perhaps fortuitous for Mane, who took advantage of a deflection and capitalized on some poor defending from the opposition.

But don’t underestimate the 30-year-old, who scored his first Champions League goal for Bayern in spectacular fashion.

Mane has now become the fourth African player to score 25 or more goals in the Champions League, according to William Hill.
