Harry Maguire will miss the Manchester derby due to an injury
Harry Maguire of Manchester United will be out for the next two weeks due to injury.
The 29-year-old was seen limping after the UEFA Nations League match against Germany due to a thigh strain.
According to the Sun, the United captain will be unavailable for selection for a short time.
Maguire’s poor performance has enraged a sizable portion of the fanbase.
His woes continued against Germany, as he was responsible for two of the goals conceded.
Luke Shaw, a fellow countryman, defended Maguire. He stated in a recent interview:
“Harry is a fantastic player and a fantastic character.” He’s gotten a lot of flak, probably more than I’ve ever seen in football.”

Erik ten Hag has previously preferred a center-back pairing of Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane.
The change in personnel at the back has been extremely beneficial to the team.
United appears to be well-organized in the back and difficult to break down.
Varane’s injury record isn’t great, and United don’t want to deplete their squad depth ahead of a busy October.
Ten Hag is hoping to get Maguire back in shape as soon as possible.
