According to The Sun, Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard has admitted that he is extremely frustrated with his current situation, which includes being left on the bench to warm up.
The Belgian forward’s contract is understood to be until 2024, but he remains in a precarious situation at the Santiago Bernabeu, having only started one of Los Balcos’ six La Liga matches this season. With only two months until the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, he is concerned about his form.
Hazard’s stats for Real Madrid last season
Last season, the 31-year-old appeared in 21 games and had only one assist. Hazard had a disappointing season despite Los Blancos winning the La Liga title and the Champions League.
In La Liga, the Belgian star had underperformed and lacked productivity in the final third, averaging 0.7 shots, 1.5 key passes, and 1.4 dribbles per game.
However, in Spanish top-flight football, he managed to distribute the ball exceptionally well, completing 90.2% of his attempted passes (stats via whoscored).
