Wolverhampton Wanderers have beaten ‘one of the top three teams in Serie A’ to sign Chile international Dario Osorio for around £5.5 million, according to Chilean reporter Maks Cardenas.
Earlier this year, reports suggested that Manchester City and Real Madrid were interested in one of South America’s most exciting young forwards. A free-scoring 18-year-old dubbed “the new Angel di Maria” by some and “very similar” to Barcelona star Raphinha by others.
And if such claims are true – that Wolves beat out City, Real Madrid, and a Serie A powerhouse for Osorio’s signature – then Bruno Lage’s side can afford to pat themselves on the back and toast a job well done.
