Liverpool key players 2022/23
Star player
We could probably make a strong case for seven or eight starting XI regulars here, but we’re going with the colossus at the back, Virgil van Dijk.
After missing almost the entire 2020/21 season due to an ACL injury, the Dutch colossus was imperious again last season. Van Dijk is rarely beaten in the air and always positions himself perfectly, snuffing out attacks and allowing Liverpool to attack relentlessly.
One to watch Liverpool have a plethora of talented youngsters, but the newest face on the scene is Fabio Carvalho, who recently joined from Fulham.
Last season, the Portugal Under-21 international scored ten Championship goals and looked right at home in a cameo appearance in the Community Shield victory over Manchester City. There’s a lot of competition for spots, but early indications suggest Carvalho will see plenty of action.

Liverpool Premier League prediction
Liverpool came close in the league and in Europe last season, but had to settle for both domestic cups. The goal for this season will be to compete for the Premier League title once more.
They were beaten on the final day of last season, but with Darwin Nunez joining their threatening forward line, they hope to go one better this time.
Manchester City, on the other hand, remain title favorites, and Jurgen Klopp’s Reds may have to settle for second place once more.
