EXCLUSIVE: Cristiano Ronaldo Complete Transfer Negotiations To Join Real Rivals

Cristiano Ronaldo is said to have persuaded Diego Simeone to bring him back to Madrid – to play for Atletico Madrid.

The 37-year-old Real Madrid legend is desperate to leave Manchester United this summer and play in the Champions League.

Ronaldo has one year left on his contract at Old Trafford, but he has yet to report for pre-season training with the Red Devils.

However, the veteran forward has discovered that interest in him is not as strong as he had hoped, with several clubs ruling themselves out of contention to sign him.

Chelsea and Bayern Munich have both stated that they are not interested, and the star himself has stated that he has no intention of accepting a lucrative offer from an unnamed Saudi Arabian club.

However, according to the Spanish newspaper Diario AS, Ronaldo may be on his way back to Madrid.

He rose to prominence with Atletico Madrid’s city rival Real Madrid, scoring 311 goals in 292 LaLiga matches and winning the Champions League four times between 2009 and 2018.

As a result, he became public enemy No. 1 with their neighbors, whom he may now be about to sensationally join.

Erik ten Hag is unsure when Cristiano Ronaldo will join the Manchester United squad after returning from their preseason tour.

Ronaldo is currently training on his own after missing the tour due to “family reasons.”

When asked if he will join the rest of the squad at Carrington when they return, manager Ten Hag said, “I cannot tell you.” No, not yet.”

The player wants to leave Old Trafford, and despite a sensational report in Spain claiming Atletico Madrid is about to make a move for him, the club has yet to receive a firm offer for him.

It means he’ll start the new season with United, but Ten Hag believes he’ll be ready despite not having trained with the rest of the squad yet.

“I think we all know Ronaldo is a top professional and he will be fit,” he said, “that is the last worry I have.”

The new manager is also unconcerned about the 37-year-ability old’s to adapt to his high-energy pressing style of play.

“I believe Cristiano is capable of doing that,” he said. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated everything. I’ve made my demand. We want to play in a specific manner. Ronaldo is an absolute top player in our squad and can contribute.”
