Erik Ten Hag Issue Worrying Injury Update On Four Key Players Ahead Of Omonia Nicosia Clash

Manchester United provides an update on Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire, and Donny van de Beek’s injuries.

Man United face Omonia Nicosia in the Europa League on Thursday, and some key players will be missing.

Raphael Varane will miss Manchester United’s Europa League group stage match against Omonia Nicosia tomorrow after failing to recover in time from an ankle injury.

Varane suffered the injury in Sunday’s 6-3 loss to Manchester City at the Etihad and was unable to train at Carrington on Wednesday morning, with United scheduled to fly to Cyprus later today.

He joins Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Donny van de Beek on the injured list, with the quartet all missing the European match.

Ten Hag is confident Varane will be back in action soon, confirming the MEN’s exclusive, but Maguire will have to wait a little longer due to a hamstring injury.

The Dutchman couldn’t say when Wan-Bissaka or Van de Beek would return. Both have not played since United defeated Liverpool at Old Trafford on August 22.

“Yes [I expect him back soon] in the case of Rapha, we hope, Harry will take a little longer, and I cannot give a prognosis for the other two.”
