Brendan Rodgers described the 25-year-old as “outstanding” after he made his seventh consecutive Premier League appearance on Saturday.
The attacking midfielder scored his first goal of the season from the penalty spot against Tottenham, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Foxes from suffering their sixth league defeat in a row, as they were beaten 6-2.
Tielemans was linked with a move to Old Trafford over the summer, and speculation about a January move has already begun.
According to one Spanish outlet, ten Hag reportedly requested Tielemans‘ services in January.
According to the report, the United manager also wants a new right-back and a forward in the winter transfer window.
If his situation remains the same, the 25-year-old Belgian will be in the final six months of his Leicester contract in 2023, so a bargain deal could be on the cards for the £40.5m-rated Belgian.
Tielemans can play as a defensive, central, or attacking midfielder and has been described as ‘one of Europe’s top midfielders’ by Rodgers. If United can persuade him to join, he could be the next important piece in Ten Hag‘s Old Trafford jigsaw.
