Real Madrid’s start to the season has been fantastic and, to a large extent, surprising, given the club’s current lack of depth.
In addition, several experienced players left the club in the summer, most notably Casemiro, who joined Manchester United in a deal worth up to £70 million with add-ons.
Casemiro was a key component in Real Madrid‘s last four Champions League victories, and he was part of a legendary midfield trio that included Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.
Despite joining Real Madrid in the summer from AS Monaco, Aurelien Tchouameni has played as if he’s been there for years.
Los Blancos paid a high transfer fee to bring the Frenchman to the club, but based on his early performances, he appears to be well worth it.
As Marca reported, Tchouameni has also regained his footing in the locker room, much to the delight of Modric and Kroos. He may not have the same profile as Casemiro, but he has blended in seamlessly, and the trio is becoming more at ease in the middle of the park.
Real Madrid’s summer signing has pleased Modric and Kroos.
Tchouameni was instrumental in Real Madrid winning all of their games this season.
Tchouameni has been arguably Real Madrid’s player of the season thus far, and while it is too early to tell, the club may have pulled off a transfer coup by signing him.
Liverpool were also interested in signing the Frenchman, but his decision to sign with Real Madrid appears to have paid off.
