Bukayo Saka of Arsenal has reportedly set his sights on signing a new contract with the North London club, despite speculation that he could leave within the next year, with Liverpool a serious contender for his signature.
The news will come as a disappointment to the Reds hierarchy, as they had been tracking the Englishman and were hoping to sign him, but Saka reveals told jurgen klopp that he would prefer to stay at Arsenal, according to the Mirror.
The versatile 20-year-old midfielder is one of the Gunners’ highest earners and sees himself as a long-term asset to the club. Saka has scored 23 goals and assisted 29 in 131 appearances for Arsenal since breaking into the first team.

Due to his blistering pace and pinpoint finishing, the boyhood Arsenal fan has piqued the interest of both Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
Regardless, Arsenal will be overjoyed that Saka wants to stay in North London and continue his development, despite the club failing to secure Champions League football for next season.
Having said that, it is unclear what the contract offer will be, whether long-term or three years. One thing is certain: if anything goes wrong during contract negotiations, he will not be short of takers.
