AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Longhorns had a program-best 11 players invited to the 2024 NFL scouting combine.

The NFL announced the 321 prospects invited to this year’s combine on Tuesday.
Texas was tied for fourth in schools with the most number of players invited to the combine. The top spot was held by the national champion Michigan Wolverines with 18 players invited. Washington and Florida State were ranked second and third with 13 and 12 players invited, respectively.
Some of the notable Texas players invited were running back Jonathon Brooks, linebacker Jaylan Ford and defensive lineman T’Vondre Sweat.
Brooks, a Texas native, was a semifinalist for the 2023 Doak Walker Award and a finalist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award. Ford, a four-year linebacker, was a Butkus Award semifinalist, and during his time with the Longhorns, he tallied 100-plus tackles in each of his last two seasons. Sweat, a five-year defensive lineman, was the 2023 Outland Trophy winner and a unanimous All-American selection.
