Everyone has to step up, says Tottenham skipper Son
Son told Sky Sports that the performance at Anfield was much better than the team’s 2-0 loss at Chelsea.
“We tried to play, especially in the difficult places. I thought we competed very well, especially before we conceded. Obviously, when you concede and try to catch up, it’s more risky,” he said.
“In the tough moments, you have to stick together. It’s a great opportunity to get even tighter, stronger.
“The four fixtures have been really tough and because it’s combined in a month it looks worse. Tough, tough afternoon. Now is the time everybody has to step up. When everything goes well it’s easy, in the tough moments we have to help each other.”

‘About time I scored’, says Liverpool’s Elliott
Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott told Sky Sports: “There was motivation to go out there and put it right. We know we’ve not been good enough in the last few weeks and we wanted to put it right.
“I thought it was going over to be honest [his goal]. I saw it drop at the end. It’s about time I scored a goal, I think I’ve hit the bar and the post in the last few games.”

Liverpool goal scorer Gakpo happy with the result
Cody Gakpo, who scored Liverpool’s third goal, told Sky Sports: “It was a disappointing few weeks where the results were not what we wanted. We could have scored more. It was a good day.
“Everyone wanted to do their best in the last few weeks, but it didn’t work. We wanted to enjoy it, play for goals, defend together and it was a good result.
“It was a good result and a good header. I’m very happy, very blessed.”
Asked if the players wanted to perform for the manager, he said, “Everybody is aware of the situation [with Jurgen Klopp leaving]. We wanted to show it for the fans but also for the manager and that’s what we did today.”
