‘I’m very angry’ – Tottenham star thinks he should have scored a hat-trick against Wolves – Spurs Web – Tottenham Hotspur Football News
Dejan Kulusevski was frustrated with his finishing against Wolves in the Premier League this weekend, despite scoring Tottenham’s only goal in their 2-1 defeat.
The Swede netted at a vital time for the Lilywhites, dancing his way through the box and poking the ball between Jose Sa’s legs right at the start of the second half to draw level at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
However, despite huffing and puffing for the next 20 minutes, not only were Spurs unable to break down a stubborn Wolves defence, but they were also hit on the break and lost the game 2-1.
Tottenham were not blessed with an abundance of chances throughout the match, up against such a low block, but Kulusevski did see a couple of openings to add to his tally.

Unfortunately, the winger was unable to convert and was clearly frustrated by that fact in his post-match interview with SpursPLAY, as Tottenham dropped out of the Premier League top four once more.
He said: “Absolutely, it’s hard [to break teams down]. The first half, we were trying but we couldn’t find a solution. That’s usually where the talent comes in, I always believe you have to do something special and special teams come from confidence. So, you have to keep trying and when you do something good, it’s going to come more naturally.
“It was one good moment [for the goal] but I’m very sad, actually I’m very angry because I had two more chances that were very close that I could score but that’s life.”
In those kinds of low block games, you do often have to be clinical in front of goal. Unfortunately, the way Tottenham play, they are always going to give up chances on the break so they need to find a way to consistently create opportunities of their own, even when their opponents have 11 men behind the ball.
