Thomas Tuchel is being heavily linked with a move to take over from David Moyes at West Ham United.
West Ham are said to be keeping a close eye on Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel, with his future uncertain at the Allianz Arena.
Hammers manager David Moyes is under intense pressure right now after overseeing a truly shocking run of form since the end of December.
The Scot is clearly walking on very thin ice right now, and is in desperate need of some wins as a matter of urgency, if he is to remain in charge at the London Stadium.
Should he leave though, Tuchel would be a pretty exciting replacement wouldn’t he? I’m not so sure actually. I think there are better options out there for us…

I’m just not sure that the German is a good fit for West Ham. The football that he plays is fairly slow in the build-up, and that’s the last thing we want to see as fans.
His struggles in charge of Bayern Munich should serve as a red flag as well. So if not Tuchel, which manager should the Hammers go for?
There are three perfect contenders for the job in my eyes…
Arne Slot
The 45-year-old is someone who the Hammers have been linked with before. He is one of the most exciting up and coming managers in the game today.
Slot took over at Feyenoord in the summer of 2021 and has taken the Dutch giants to another level in two-and-a-half years.
He guided them to a third place finish in his first season at De Kuip. The Dutchman also took his side to the Europa Conference League final in the 2021/22 season, only to lose to Roma in the final, but things have got even better since then.
Feyenoord won the league last season out in Holland and this season, his side are second in the Eredivisie table, although they’re 13 points adrift of runaway leaders PSV Eindhoven.
Slot deploys an attacking brand of free-flowing football at Feyenoord and I think he’d be the ideal man to usher West Ham into an exciting new era of success.
He predominantly uses a 4-2-3-1 system but also switches up to a 4-3-3 at times. Slot’s managerial style has been likened to Marcelo Bielsa.
The Feyenoord boss likes his full-backs to push high up the pitch with his two centre-back’s splitting and a ‘ball-playing’ goalkeeper essentially becoming a third defender. He is the man we should be going after is you ask me.
Ruben Amorim
He deploys a 3-4-3 system that switches into a 5-2-3 when defending. His likes his team to play a really aggressive high press, and in order to get this to work, his players have to be highly energetic and physically robust.
You only needed to watch Sporting’s clashes with Premier League side Arsenal in the Europa League last season to see what incredible football the Portuguese coach has his side playing.
Amorim has only been managing for five years and has been in charge of Sporting since 2020.
Since then, he has transformed the Portuguese giants into one of the most enthralling teams to watch on the planet.
The 39-year-old guided Sporting to the league title in the 2020/21 season and the league cup in the same campaign. He also won the same cup competition a year later – a trophy that he guided Braga to in the 2019/20 season.
His side are second in the league right now, level on points with league leaders Benfica but with a game in hand. He’d be a great option for us in my view.
Gary O’Neill
The 40-year-old spent two years playing for West Ham just over a decade ago, and he’s a hugely popular figure in East London.
Her has worked absolute wonders with Wolves, since taking over at Molineux last year.
His Wolves side are currently sitting in 11th place in the Premier League table, just four points adrift of seventh spot.
They have had some horrendous luck this season with refereeing decisions and VAR calls as well.
O’Neill deploys a high tempo, high energy brand of enthralling football, and his Wolves side really are a very exciting watch. The Beckenham-born manager embodies everything that being a West Ham manager means.
He speaks incredibly well, oozes positivity and ambition, and carries himself in a way that makes him ideal for the Hammers hot-seat as far as I’m concerned.
Thomas Tuchel is not the man we need to take West Ham forward. Give me Slot, Amorim or O’Neill every single day of the week.
